FrostyFix is a utility program designed to fix an injection issue with Frosty Mod Manager that causes mods to not appear when playing EA games (built on the Frostbite engine) through alternative PC storefronts like the Epic Games Store, Steam, and the EA App.
The tool was created by community developers (originally hosted on Dyvinia’s GitHub) to bypass the way modern launchers block command-line arguments passed by Frosty Mod Manager. Frosty Mod Manager originally relied heavily on the old Origin client to launch modified games. When EA shifted to the EA App, and when games were purchased on third-party launchers, Frosty began launching games cleanly without any applied mods.

The tool acts as a middleman between your mod manager and your game launcher. The general workflow follows these steps:
Setup Mods: Open Frosty Mod Manager, load your chosen mods, and hit Launch. (The game might open with no mods visible; if so, close the game).
Open FrostyFix: Run FrostyFix, select your specific game, and choose your active mod profile from the dropdown.
Select Platform: Choose the launcher you bought the game on (e.g., EA App, Epic Games Store, or Steam). Enable Mods: Click Enable or Launch with Mods Enabled.

Disable Mods for Other Games: Because FrostyFix injects mods globally into the platform environment, you must click “Disable Mods” in FrostyFix before trying to play any other Frostbite game vanilla, or you may encounter crashes.
The Modern Alternative (DatapathFix): While FrostyFix is still widely used, the same developers released an updated solution called the DatapathFix Plugin. Instead of requiring an external program, DatapathFix is a .zip file extracted directly into Frosty Mod Manager’s local Plugins folder. Many users prefer DatapathFix as it functions automatically entirely inside Frosty Mod Manager without having to open a separate app.
