Partition Find and Mount is an specialized data recovery utility that locates lost or missing disk partitions and mounts them read-only into your operating system so you can easily copy files. Unlike destructive software that attempts to rebuild a broken partition table, this tool works strictly in memory without altering the physical drive, completely eliminating the risk of accidental data overwriting.
Please note: Partition Find and Mount is legacy freeware originally designed for Windows XP and 2000, and it has an integrated data transfer limit of 512 Kb/s. Step 1: Run with Administrator Privileges
Windows requires elevated access permissions to interact with raw hardware and individual sectors. Right-click the program icon. Select Run as Administrator.
If you skip this step, the utility will not map your drives. Step 2: Select Your Target Drive
The software main screen loads all internally and externally connected storage devices into a left-side folder directory tree. Look for your physical drive in the list.
Highlight the specific disk that holds your lost partitions. Step 3: Pick a Partition Scanning Mode
Click the Find Partitions option from the upper toolbar. The program will prompt you to choose one of three scanning protocols:
Fast Intellectual Scan: Checks the start and end blocks of common sectors. Use this first as it completes in seconds.
Normal Scan: Checks all standard sector locations where standard file systems write partition geometry headers.
Thorough Scan: Examines every sector on the hard drive sequentially. Select this if the faster approaches fail. Step 4: Mount the Discovered Partition
When the scan concludes, a sub-list of detected file systems and partition blocks appears directly beneath your drive name. Right-click the lost partition you want to unlock. Click Mount As. Assign any available drive letter (e.g., E:, F:, G:).
